Screw Conveyor Drives

Technical Specifications

Vibratory spiral conveyors (often simply referred to as spiral conveyors) are vibrating conveyors designed for vertically conveying bulk materials (such as powders) and piece goods (including coarse-grained items). In addition to transporting materials from one production process to another, they are frequently used to sort small parts in bulk (such as screws or small electronic components) or to align them correctly (using the vibrations generated) for automatic further processing.

The basic principle of a vibratory drive or vibratory screw conveyor is the same as all vibratory conveyors: The conveyor element, such as a spiral conveyor, is vibrated by an electromagnetic vibratory drive. This causes the material (bulk or piece goods) to be thrown in the direction of conveyance in small throwing movements, known as micro-throws, which move and transport the material.
